2025 SCO National People-to-People and Cultural Exchange Event Held in Beijing

On August 25th, ahead of the 25th Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), the "2025 SCO National People-to-People and Cultural Exchange Event" co-hosted by China Media Group (CMG) and the SCO Secretariat kicked off in Beijing . President Sadyr Japarov of Kyrgyzstan and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan sent congratulatory letters to extend their wishes for the complete success of the event.

At the event venue, the SCO National Media Cooperation Mechanism was launched, and the Initiative on the SCO National Media Cooperation Mechanism was released. The initiative calls on media organizations of SCO member states to strengthen cooperation to build consensus on development, fulfill media responsibilities through practical actions, and enhance mutual understanding and friendship via people-to-people and cultural exchanges.

During the event, China Media Group and the Presidential Complex of Radio and Television of Kazakhstan jointly inaugurated the "Silk Road Star" cooperation program. As the first music project jointly participated by singers from Central Asian countries, the Caucasus region and China, this program marks a new attempt at cross-border cultural and artistic exchanges. In addition, CGTN (China Global Television Network) co-launched the media campaign "Witness China Together · Journey of Harmony" in collaboration with mainstream media outlets from SCO member states.
