China Exim Bank Signs Multiple Cooperation Agreements to Jointly Promote High-Quality Development of the Belt and Road Initiative

On October 29, during the 2025 Financial Street Forum Annual Conference, China Exim Bank, in collaboration with China Galaxy Securities, held a parallel forum themed "Integrating Financing, Intelligence, and Business to Jointly Promote High-Quality Development of the Belt and Road Initiative." Sun Shuo, Vice Mayor of Beijing, and Chen Huaiyu, Chairman of China Exim Bank, attended and delivered speeches, while Dilma Rousseff, President of the New Development Bank, was present and delivered a keynote speech. At the forum, China Exim Bank signed multiple cooperation agreements to work with various parties to jointly promote the high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative.

A cooperation agreement was signed with the National Foreign Economic Activity Bank of Uzbekistan. Under the agreement, both parties will build a more robust interbank cooperation channel and jointly support the high-quality co-construction of the Belt and Road Initiative.

A key financing terms agreement for a 2 billion RMB loan was signed with the Kazakhstan Development Bank. This marks the first collaboration between the two banks on RMB working capital loan business and is of positive significance in advancing the internationalization of the RMB. Both parties will further develop more exemplary and leading cooperative achievements to promote the robust growth of China-Kazakhstan economic and trade cooperation.

A memorandum of cooperation on the Bósāvina Highway Project was signed with the Bosnia and Herzegovina Republika Srpska Highway Company. Once implemented, the project will facilitate public travel, improve transportation efficiency, enhance connectivity among Central and Eastern European countries, and inject new momentum into the economic and social development of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

A strategic cooperation agreement was signed with Beijing Urban Construction Group Co., Ltd. The two parties will expand cooperation scenarios and deepen potential in areas including credit business, consulting services, trade financing, and treasury operations, achieving multi-field mutually beneficial development.

China Exim Bank stated that, moving forward, it will actively and effectively participate in the implementation of the national "15th Five-Year Plan," translating the strategic directions and major initiatives set by the Party Central Committee into concrete actions. Focusing on high-level opening-up services, integrating domestic and international development, and providing specialized and distinctive financial services, the Bank aims to promote innovation in trade, support the expansion of bilateral investment and cooperation opportunities, and advance the high-quality co-construction of the Belt and Road Initiative.
